Terms and conditions
These terms apply when you use SelectVoice or purchase minutes. They cover account use, purchases, acceptable use, privacy, and service terms.
Using SelectVoice
- Account use
- You are responsible for your account activity, keeping your sign-in credentials secure, and making sure uploaded files are ones you have the right to process.
- Uploaded content and outputs
- You keep ownership of the files you upload and the outputs created for you. SelectVoice uses uploaded files to provide the processing service you request.
- Service availability
- SelectVoice may pause or limit service for maintenance, safety, reliability, abuse prevention, or infrastructure issues. We may also change features or workflows as the product evolves.
- Suspension of operations
- If SelectVoice suspends operations, we will provide advance notice by email, in-product notice, or another reasonable method. We will provide a prorated refund for unused, unexpired paid minutes based on the original price paid, the paid-minute balance remaining, and the time left in the current term, returned when possible to the original payment method.
Minutes and purchases
- Expiration
- Purchased minutes are valid for the term shown at checkout. Unused minutes expire at the end of the current term unless rollover applies.
- Minute rollover
- When you buy more minutes before your existing minutes expire, unused minutes roll into the new term up to a maximum balance of 200 minutes. The new purchase sets the expiration term for the rolled-over minutes.
- How minutes are counted
- Processing is billed in one-minute increments, with a minimum of one minute for each extraction.
- Maximum extractions
- Some plans may include a maximum number of extractions. If a plan has an extraction limit, the plan is used up when either the included minutes or the maximum extraction count is reached, whichever comes first.
- Credits and corrections
- If a job starts but processing does not begin, the minutes for that job may be credited back to your account. Once processing begins, the usage of minutes for that extraction is final. If a result is affected by a service issue, failed job, payment error, or duplicate purchase, contact support so we can review the account and may provide a credit, rerun, or correction on a case-by-case basis.
- Taxes and payment processing
- Displayed prices may not include taxes, fees, or payment processor charges. Checkout is handled by Stripe, and payment completion depends on the payment method and processor approval.
- No cash value
- Except as described under Suspension of operations, purchased minutes are for SelectVoice processing only. They are not redeemable for cash, are not a stored-value account, and may not be transferred unless SelectVoice explicitly allows it.
Acceptable use
- Service misuse
- SelectVoice may limit, suspend, or cancel access for prohibited, abusive, or unsafe activity, including repeated malware uploads, attempts to bypass service limits, unauthorized recordings, illegal content, or files you do not have the right to process.
- Security and abuse controls
- SelectVoice may scan files, block uploads, throttle requests, or restrict account access when needed to protect the service, users, infrastructure, or payment systems.
Other terms
- Changes to these terms
- SelectVoice may update these terms as the service changes. We will provide notice of material changes by email to the account email address, in-product notice, notice in your account, or posting the updated terms. Non-material changes, clarifications, and legally required updates may take effect when posted. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
- Privacy
- SelectVoice handles uploaded files, account data, retention, and privacy requests as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Disputes
- If a dispute comes up, contact support first so we can try to resolve it informally. Additional dispute terms may be provided where required by law or in a separate written agreement.
- Limitations and warranty disclaimer
- SelectVoice is provided as a processing service. Results can vary by source quality, speaker visibility, background noise, and other recording conditions. To the maximum extent allowed by law, SelectVoice disclaims implied warranties and will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. SelectVoice's total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid for the affected purchase.
